The Cebu Provincial Government allocated a substantial sum of P97.7 million as assistance for seven municipalities in Cebu’s second district aimed at supporting their local infrastructure development projects.
Gov. Gwen Garcia, joined by Vice Gov. Hilario Davide III and Congressman Edsel Galeos, distributed the checks to the LGU officials during the Caravan of Services at the Sec. Cerge M. Remonde Sports & Cultural Center – the tenth and final Caravan for this quarter.
The assistance was broken down as follows: the Municipality of Argao received P8 million for the Mayor’s Office; P5.1 million for the Vice Mayor’s Office and Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Members; and P300,000 each for Barangays Jampang, Anajao, and Catang.
The Municipality of Dalaguete received P8 million for the Mayor’s Office, P5.4 million for the Vice Mayor’s Office and SB Members; and P300,000 for Barangays Bulak, Maloray, and Bulad.
Alcoy was allocated P8 million for the Mayor’s Office, P5.4 million for the Vice Mayor’s Office and SB Members; with each of Barangays Daanlungsod, Atabay, and Pugalo receiving P300,000.
The Municipality of Boljoon received P8 million for the Mayor’s Office, P6 million for the Vice Mayor’s Office and SB Members; and P300,000 each for Barangays El Pardo, Arbor, and Granada.
Oslob received P8 million for the Mayor’s Office, P1.8 million for the Vice Mayor’s Office and SB Members; and P300,000 each for Barangays Hagdan, Alo, and Bangcogon.
Santander Mayor’s Office was allocated P8 million, while the Vice Mayor’s Office and SB Members received P6.3 million.
Lastly, Samboan received P8 million for the Mayor’s Office, P6.6 million for the Vice Mayor’s Office and SB Members; and P300,000 each for Barangays Canorong, Calatagan, and Camboroy.
In total, the financial assistance amounted to P97.7 million, showing Governor Garcia’s dedication to improving the infrastructure and quality of life for residents in the Second District.
