The Cebu Provincial Government has distributed a total of P376.6 million in aid to all the seven districts in the Province during the conduct of Cavaran of Provincial Services for the first quarter this year.
These funds given to the different local government units are intended for infrastructure projects that were identified by the mayors, vice mayors, the different municipal and city councils, and the barangay officials.
This quarter`s Caravan culminated last Saturday, March 24 in the town of Pilar, which was the tenth leg for Governor Gwen Garcia and the rest of the Capitol officials.
During the conduct of the Caravan, the governor, along with the provincial board members, would personally hand to the mayors, vice mayors, councilors, and association of barangay captains the checks to fund the various infrastructure projects they identified that would be beneficial for their constituents.
This is the breakdown of financial assistance from Capitol:
First District — P41.6M
Second District — P53.4M
Third District — P45.2M
Fourth District — P65.8M (main land LGUs: P41.8M; Bantayan Island LGUs: P24M)
Fifth District — P100M (mainland LGUs: P47M; Camotes mainland: P42M; Pilar P11M)
Sixth District (including Mandaue City) —P21.2M
Seventh District — P49.4M
