Gov. Gwen Garcia graced the creation and induction of the first lady eagle officers in Northern Cebu, the Cebu North Bogo Lady Eagles Club headed by its first President, Bogo City Vice Mayor Maria Cielo Martinez.
Gov. Garcia, herself a symbol of female empowerment and a role model who has pushed the frontiers of women’s leadership, recognized the significance of the occasion, especially acknowledging Vice Mayor Martinez’ pivotal role as the first president of the newly-created northern chapter.
“The primary reason that convinced me that I should be here with you tonight is because of your president, Vice Mayor Mayel Martinez,” Gov. Garcia said while giving importance of this event after the reconciliation of both families - the Garcia of the south and the Martinez of the north.
The Fraternal Order of Eagles Philippine stands as the pioneering fraternal socio-civic organization in the country centered around the principle of fostering strong brotherhood and fraternal ties among its members and humanitarian service promotion.
The occasion, held at the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel in Cebu City on Saturday, May 4, was also attended by the esteemed officers from the Fraternal Order of Eagles Philippine, including past national president, former Customs Collector David S. Odilao Jr. and regional Governor Romeo Tapayan, underscored the importance of the event. | BJR
