It was a joyous moment for residents of Barangay Tinabyonan in Catmon as their long-held dream of having a clean water source has become a reality.
Fifth district representative and Deputy Speaker Duke Frasco led the ground breaking of the P10 million solar-powered water system in Barangay Tinabyonan, in Catmon on Sunday, July 2.
The water system will help address the long-time problem for residents who had to walk for several kilometers to get potable clean water.
The legislator was warmly welcomed by students of Tinabyonan Integrated School where he also donated P30,000 from his personal funds for the purchase of the school’s sound system.
He was joined by Provincial Board Members Red Duterte and Mike Villamor, Mayor Avis Monleon, Vice Mayor Armel Poro and municipal councilors of Catmon, Department of Public Works and Highways 5th District Engineer Janet Nero, Asst. District Engineer Roy dela Cruz, Brgy. Captain Danilo Sudaria of Tinabyonan, and other municipal and barangay officials.
“Ang kausaban nga inyong gihandum ug gibotaran, mi abot na,” Rep. Frasco said. ##
