Gov. Gwen Garcia leads the ceremonial switch-on of the Level III waterworks system in Barangay Maharuhay in Medellin town, Northern Cebu.
Gov. Gwen was joined by Capitol and Medellin LGU officials and Provincial Board members Carmela Minuel Franco and Kerrie Shimura during the inauguration of the P8.49 million augmented water system project.
The project also includes the augmentation and construction of distribution line of Level III waterworks system of Gibitngil Island, located off the west coast of Medellin.
Improvement of water infrastructure has been one of the primary priorities of the governor’s administration, along with massive road concreting projects.
Water is a basic need. Thus, Capitol sees the crucial impact of investing into water systems as they are seen to spur social and economic development even in remote and hilly areas like Brgy. Maharuhay.
The governor was also joined by Medellin Mayor Joven Mondigo Jr., Vice Mayor Al Lim, Brgy. Captain Narciso Osabel Jr., and councilors during the inauguration. | CL
