The first-ever Senior Citizen Community Care Center has been launched in the Municipality of Moalboal, southern Cebu on Friday, May 24.
The care center will serve as a hub for elderly people here who can avail of free medical check-up available every week. It also houses the town’s Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs.
Gov. Gwen Garcia joined officials from the National Commission of Senior Citizens, led by chairperson Atty. Franklin Quijano and commissioner Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, during the inauguration of the P10-million facility, funded by the national government.
Also joining the inauguration were NCSC commissioners, Moalboal Mayor Inocentes Cabaron, Congressman Peter John Calderon of the seventh district, and Board Member Jerome Librando, among others.
The facility is located in Poblacion East in the town proper. | CSL
