𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐉𝐀𝐍, 𝐂𝐄𝐁𝐔 – The Cebu Provincial Government, under the leadership of Governor Gwen Garcia, has once again demonstrated its commitment to inclusive growth and development by distributing financial assistance to the seven LGUs of Cebu’s third legislative district.
The checks, worth ₱6 million for each of the seven LGUs, were handed by Gov. Gwen to the LGU officials during the first Caravan of Government Services for the third quarter of 2024 held here at the municipal gym on August 10.
The checks were received by host Mayor Ana Jessica Baricuatro, Toledo City Mayor Marjorie Perales, Barili Mayor John-John Garcia, Asturias Mayor Dana Andrew Dumdum, Tuburan Vice Mayor Danny Diamante, Balamban Vice Mayor Alfie Binghay, and Aloguinsan Councilor Michael Pabroa.
The assistance shall be divided and spent evenly at ₱3 million each for the LGUs’ infrastructure projects and for their preparations for upcoming Pasigarbo sa Sugbo 2024 later this month.
Third district Congressman Pablo John “PJ” Garcia as well as Board Members Victoria Corominas-Toribio and Atty. Jiembo Borgonia were present during the distribution of assistance.
This financial support is expected to accelerate the completion of essential infrastructure and enhance socio-cultural programs in the LGUs, contributing to the overall development and quality of life in Cebu’s third district.
Governor Garcia’s administration continues to prioritize these efforts as part of its broader strategy to uplift the Province of Cebu and ensure sustainable progress across all districts. | Jude Torres
