Doctors from the Cebu Medical Society (CMS), led by Dr. Peter Mancao, will perform minor procedure like circumcision at the Capitol-led Caravan of Government Services.
“Ang Cebu Medical Society is always open to all collaborations. This is one of the collaborations that we are looking into especially in minor surgery and consultations, because one of the activities of the Cebu Medical Society is our outreach programs,” said Dr. Peter Mancao during an interview with Sugbo News.
“Pinaka-common would be operation tuli, operation sa mga naay bukol-bukol, operation sa naay mga warts,” he added when prodded what services they would bring to the Caravan.
Dr. Mancao was at the Capitol to meet with the Governor on February 20. The Governor hoped that CMS members could contribute their expertise and provide medical services to the Cebuanos through the Caravan.
The Caravan of Government Services is a brainchild program of Gov. Gwen that aims to bring various Capitol services directly to people. Launched during the height pandemic, it has evolved to become the largest LGU-led Caravan of Services in the entire Province, totaling 40 Caravans per year or ten stops per quarter, attracting in the process various national line agencies and the private sector.
Governor Gwen welcomed this collaboration with CMS to provide additional medical services at the Caravan. | JMT
