Governor Gwen Garcia inaugurated the newly completed two-storey barangay hall in Barangay Union, San Francisco, Camotes, marking a significant improvement for the town’s infrastructure development.
The barangay hall, built after the standardized design of the Provincial Government, has been funded by the Capitol through the legislative assistance fund of Board Member Mike Villamor. It cost P2.8 million, has a floor area of 90 square meters, and offers modern facilities designed to accommodate various community activities.
“Ato-a man sa mainland or ania dinhi sa isla, ang tanang Sugbuanon nga akong gialagaran first class mong tanan, busa kinahanglang first class ang serbisyo,” Gov. Gwen said during a short program.
The Governor was joined by Board Members Glenn Soco and Mike Villamor; as well as San Francisco Mayor Alfredo Arquillano Jr., in celebrating the completion of this crucial infrastructure project.
The new building replaces and old one that has been condemned for posing safety risk to people. The new facility is expected to strengthen governance and support the continued growth and development of San Francisco, benefiting local residents for years to come.
“Dako gyod namong pasalamat, Gov., nga daghan kaayo kag gibubo nga improvements dinhi sa among barangay sa Union,” said Kapitan Raffy Formentera. | JMT
