Governor Gwen Garcia led the groundbreaking and capsule laying ceremony for the construction of the new Community College Building at the Madridejos Campus in Bunakan.
The new building, set to be a cornerstone of local education, is a three-storey structure with six classrooms, designed to provide a better learning environment for the students of the area.
The project has a budget of P13,128,015.33 and is expected to be completed within 240 calendar days. With a footprint measuring 24.90x12.60 meters, the building will provide an area of 313.74 square meters. Each classroom will have a spacious area of 56 square meters, with dimensions of 8x7 meters, ensuring ample space for students and teachers.
Governor Garcia was joined by key local leaders, including Madridejos Mayor Romeo Villaceran, Vice Mayor Vincent Villacrusis, Ako Bisaya Second Nominee Ms. Carissa Garcia, Board Member Glen Soco, and Bureau of Customs Port of Cebu District Collector Atty. Geoffrey De Vera IV, who all expressed their support and enthusiasm for the project.
The construction of the new Community College Building is expected to greatly enhance the educational infrastructure in Madridejos, providing students with a modern and conducive learning space.
