The Cebu Province contingent made a triumphant showing at the Sinulog 2025 grand competition with remarkable performances across categories proving their dedication and artistry among the 44 competing groups.
In the Sinulog-Based Category, Carcar City emerged victorious, clinching the championship title, followed by Mandaue City in second place, Talisay City in third, and Danao City in fourth. Adding to their success, Mandaue City was awarded Best in Costume for this category.
For the Street Dancing Competition, Carcar City solidified its dominance, taking the top spot with their vibrant and captivating performance that wowed both the judges and the audience.
In the Free Interpretation Category, Toledo City secured second place, while Consolacion landed in fifth. Toledo City also bagged the Best in Costume award for their visually stunning presentation. Meanwhile, Lapu-Lapu City placed third showcasing their cultural heritage with a compelling performance.
Gov. Gwen Garcia led this contingents with her presence and enthusiasm in the grand return of Sinulog at the Cebu City Sports Center where she also performed her 16th Sinulog dance offering alongside the Dagitab Festival dancers of the City of Naga, Mayor Val Chiong, Provincial Board Members and city department heads. | BJR
