The Philippine Director of China-Philippines Traditional Chinese Medicine Center, Zheng Qiming, pays Governor Gwen Garcia a visit at the Capitol on Thursday, January 16.
The traditional Chinese medicine expert is in Cebu in preparation for the upcoming “Sugbo-Chino Health Summit for Traditional Chinese Medicine” scheduled on February 12-14.
The summit, to be hosted by the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, is intended to foster cross-cultural collaboration, expertise sharing, and holistic healthcare advancements.
Zheng Qiming identified at least ten experts, including himself, from Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (FUTCM), who will be coming over for the summit.
Also expected to join are the medical experts from India’s Bharatiya Sanskruti Darshan Trust’s Integrated Cancer Treatment and Research Centre as well as the Philippine Traditional & Alternative Health Care.
The summit is the fruition of the memorandum of understanding signed by Gov. Gwen and Professor Li Candong, President of FUTCM during the Governor’s four-day visit to Fujian, China in November last year.
The MOU envisioned a future collaboration between Cebu Province and FUTCM’s experts on traditional Chinese medicine. | MARM
