San Miguel Foods (SMF) and Jollibee — two leading brands in the country today — have decided to join forces for the successful staging of the Sinulog Festivities this Sunday, January 19.
In a meeting at the Capitol on January 15, Jonathan Escanilla, Operations Planning Manager; and Carl John Collado, Live Operations Manager at SMF, informed Gov. Gwen Garcia that the company is donating five (5) tons of its premium chicken products which will feed the government workforce during the Sinulog Sunday.
For its part, Jollibee will take charge in the preparation and distribution of the donated chicken products. Hazel Enad, Cebu Area Manager; and Leah Sausa, Trade Marketing Officer, represented Jollibee in the meeting with the Governor.
Gov. Gwen welcomed the contributions of SMF and Jollibee and requested that uniformed personnel on foot patrol be included in their beneficiaries.
Both companies expressed enthusiasm in taking part in the Sinulog’s return to the Old Carousel Route as well as at the Cebu City Sports Center after these were held at the South Road Properties for the last two years. | BJR
