Scheduled on January 25 to 27, the much-anticipated tourism caravan will be led by Gov. Gwen Garcia across 14 northern towns and one component city of Cebu, offering a seamless blend of liesure, adventure, and cultural immersion.
Stakeholders from various sectors, including transportation providers and accommodation establishments met at the Capitol to finalize their roles in ensuring the success of the event.
The meeting highlighted the collective commitment to delivering top-tier services for participants, with a focus on providing clean, comfortable, and high-quality accommodations throughout the tour.
Transportation partners, including shipping lines and bus companies, have committed to ensuring smooth travel experience. Meanwhile, hotels and resorts selected from top-rated establishments pledged to offer clean, comfortable, and premium stay for the guests.
The LGUs participating in the Northern Escapade include the Municipalities of Consolacion, Compostela, Carmen, Sogod, Medellin, and Daanbantayan (first day) ; San Remigio, Santa Fe, Bantayan, and Madridejos (second day) ; Bogo City, Tabogon, Borbon, Catmon, and Liloan (final day).
The Suroy-Suroy Sugbo is one of Governor Gwen’s flagship tourism initiatives that has brought so much development to the countryside by inviting tourists to explore Cebu’s hidden wonders outside the metro and the usual travel itinerary. | JMT
