In order to ensure a smooth-sailing sequence of 52 performances for the Pasigarbo sa Sugbo 2024 Grand Ritual Showdown, Gov. Gwen Garcia herself called the shots behind the camera.
The Governor, a broadcast communications major, put her college degree to good use by assuming the unenviable task of the event’s overall director, which resulted to one of the best shows ever pulled off by the Cebu Provincial Government on August 25.
“That was the most spectacular, the grandest, hard-to-beat Pasigarbo sa Sugbo ever! And that is because all of our local government units have leveled up. You all made me so very, very proud to be a Sugbuanon,” the Governor said in her speech when it was all said and done.
The Capitol allocated a total cash prize of P54,705,000 for all the winning contingents of the Pasigarbo, dubbed as the “Festival of Festivals,” winning for Cebu the undisputed title as “Festival Capital of the Country!”
