In an effort to bring much-needed dialysis services closer to the people, the Cebu Provincial Government opened a ten-unit hemodialysis centers in each of the Capitol-run hospitals in the Islands of Bantayan and Camotes.
Gov. Gwen Garcia led the inauguration of these centers on March 18 at the Ricardo L. Maningo Memorial Hospital on in San Francisco, Camotes; and on March 20 at the Bantayan District Hospital in Bantayan.
As of today, the Cebu Provincial Government is operating an accumulated 92 hemodialysis units across six Capitol-run hospitals, making it the biggest hemodialysis operator among all LGUs of the country today.
The other dialysis units are stationed at Cebu Provincial Hospital (CPH) Balamban with 25 units; CPH Carcar with 17; CPH Danao with 15; CPH Bogo with 15; Bantayan District Hospital with 10; and the Ricardo Maningo Memorial Hospital in Camotes with 10.
This is part of the Capitol’s investment in better medical services and facilities for the Cebuanos, as the provincial government runs and operates 16 hospitals all over Cebu.
