Cebu is once again making waves with the recently announced results of the 2024 Philippine Bar Examinations and the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers.
UP Diliman College of Law graduate Kyle Christian Tutor, who hails from Lapu-Lapu City, ranked first overall in the 2024 Bar Examination, with an impressive score of 85.77%.
He leads the 3,962 passers of this year's Bar Exams, which serve as the final hurdle before one can be admitted to the practice of law in the Philippines.
Supreme Court Associate Justice Mario V. Lopez, chairperson of the 2024 Bar Exams, mentioned that the Justices wanted to increase the number of lawyers in the country. Therefore, they unanimously agreed to lower the passing grade from 75% to 74%, which added almost a thousand passers to the original list.
