Dynacast Shipyard, a prominent shipbuilding company in Danao City, has identified the 10% portion of its reclaimed lot to be allocated to the Cebu Provincial Government, in line with the Cebu Reclamation Ordinance.
In a meeting on December 12, Mary Lou Ang informed Governor Gwen Garcia and Board Member Red Duterte and showed the map identifying the designated area which will be allocated as the Province’s share. However, a survey by the Capitol is still pending to finalize its exact boundaries and details.
The ordinance stipulates that 10% of the usable area of all reclamation projects within the province must be allocated to the Cebu Provincial Government, ensuring that the province benefits from the economic growth of such developments.
Meanwhile, SanFer Development Corp., another private entity in San Fernando town is awaiting further instructions from the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA) regarding its reclamation project so it can finally identify the 10% that it will allocate to Cebu Province, still in line with the Province’s reclamation ordinance. | BJR
