The Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) will see a substantial increase in prizes next year, with the top-performing barangays set to receive P500,000. The first runner-up will get P300,000; the second runner-up P200,000; and finalists will receive P100,000 each.
This was the announcement of Governor Gwen Garcia during the LTIA awarding ceremony held on December 9 at the Capitol Social Hall. It was attended by DILG assistant regional Director Atty. Ian Kenneth Lucero and DILG provincial director Dr. Jesus Robel Sastrillo.
In her speech, Governor Garcia highlighted the importance of the Lupong Tagapamayapa in maintaining peace and order at the grassroots level through the amicable settlement of disputes.
The LTIA recognizes exemplary Lupon Tagapamayapa among Cebu’s 1,066 barangays, choosing the winners for their effective dispute resolution mechanisms. As prizes, they will receive infrastructure grants from the Capitol.
