MALABUYOC, CEBU — A total of ₱62 million in financial assistance was distributed by the Provincial Government to the eight municipalities of Cebu’s seventh legislative district for their respective infrastructure development projects.
Gov. Gwen Garcia personally handed the checks to the town mayors and vice mayors during the final Caravan of Government Services for the district this year.
A breakdown of the allocation revealed that seven LGUs received an allocation of P8 million each, while Dumanjug received P6 million. These seven LGUs are Ginatilan, Malabuyoc, Alegria, Badian, Moalboal, Alcantara, and Ronda.
Malabuyoc Mayor Erlinda Q. Piedad, Ginatilan Mayor Roy Vincent P. Singco, Alegria Mayor Gilberto F. Magallon, Badian Mayor Carmencita L. Lumain, Moalboal Mayor Inocentes G. Cabaron, Alcantara Mayor Fritz A. Lastimoso, Ronda Mayor Terence Mariano Y. Blanco, and Dumanjug Mayor Efren Guntrano Z. Gica received the checks from Gov. Gwen at the municipal gym here.
These funds are intended to support various infrastructure projects aimed at improving local development, including road construction, public buildings, and other essential services.
Local officials expressed their gratitude for the timely assistance, noting that these investments will help improve the quality of life of their constituents and drive the district’s growth.
The financial assistance, subject to usual auditing rules of the government, is part of an ongoing effort by the Capitol to support progress and ensure sustainable development across the municipalities and cities of the province. | JMT
