The Cebu Provincial Board (PB), presided by Vice Gov. Hilario Davide III, has approved on third and final reading P25-billion budget of the entire Cebu Provincial Government for the year 2025 during its regular Monday session on December 2.
The 2025 budget, which represents an 8.7% increase from the 2024 budget of P23 billion, is now the biggest budget approved for Cebu Province thus far. It includes P14 billion for the Capitol’s Annual Investment Plan (AIP) focused on infrastructure and development projects.
Of the figure, P3.8 billion is earmarked for health and medical services in Capitol-run hospitals; P3.5 billion for road and bridge development as well as solar street lighting projects; and P3.3 billion for the bulk water system program that involves an initial 25 local government units (LGUs).
Other key allocations include P371 million for the Cebu Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan and P1.25 billion for the Gender and Development Plan.
The budget is the Capitol’s commitment that vital programs, projects and services will continue next year as the Capitol will be sufficiently funded to meet the ever rising demands of its constituents.
