The deliberation for the Top 10 finalists of the “Sugbo Vlog Challenge” will take place on December 12.
This was according to Board Member Loren Singco, the provincial president of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) in the province, during a meeting with Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG 7) assistant regional director Atty. Ian Kenneth Lucero and a group of Cebuano vloggers who will serve as judges of the contest.
The Sugbo Vlog Challenge is aimed at showcasing youth-driven initiatives that promote sustainable development. It will feature entries from 51 SK Federations across Cebu, encouraging them to produce creative and impactful content of their own LGUs inspired by the various programs of the Capitol.
Judges will evaluate the entries based on sustainability focus (30%), creativity and originality (30%), youth participation (25%), and engagement (15%).
Strict contest rules are in place to ensure fairness, including prohibitions on plagiarism, judge collaborations, and post-boosting. Submissions must also adhere to cultural and environmental guidelines, with penalties for inappropriate content or negative online behavior.
The Top 10 winning SK Federations will receive one million pesos’ worth of infrastructure projects, with P100,000 in cash. The “People’s Choice Award” will also receive the same prizes as enumerated above. | BJR
