Nine graduates of the Sugbo Kahanas program specializing in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II, Bread and Pastry Production NC II, and Housekeeping NC II have received their National Certificates (NC II) from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), along with starter toolkits and allowances provided by the Cebu Provincial Government.
Fifth district Board Members Red Duterte and Mike Villamor, on behalf of Gov. Gwen Garcia, personally distributed the toolkits during the ceremonial turnover held during the Caravan of Government Services at the Poro municipal gym on November 28.
The toolkits included welding machines and helmets for SMAW graduates, ovens and electric mixers for Bread and Pastry Production graduates, and ladders and cleaning materials for Housekeeping graduates.
Additionally, each graduate received their training allowances. SMAW graduates got P6,592 each; while Bread and Pastry Production graduates brought home P4,300 each. Moreover, P9,800 has been allocated for each of the Housekeeping graduates.
On top of these, Ako Bisaya Partylist also gave each of them five kilos of rice. | BJR
