LILOAN, SANTANDER — Gov. Gwen Garcia made her second stop in Liloan, Santander, to lead the inauguration and blessing of a 2-storey multi-purpose building.
She is joined by Santander Mayor Marites Buscato and Congressman Edsel Galeos, as well as Board Members Stanley Caminero and Raymond Calderon.
The facility is funded by the Provincial Government with project cost of P3.6 million course through the Mayor’s Office. This is part of the Capitol’s infrastructure aid to the LGUs every time Gov. Gwen Garcia would call for important meetings that required the mayors’ presence.
The multi-purpose building, located at the Liloan Port, will house the offices of the Philippine Coast Guard, Task Force Group, and pertinent municipal satellite offices. It will play a crucial role in strengthening the town’s maritime security and local government services.
Liloan Port is Cebu’s southernmost port. It serves as an important point of contact between Cebu and Dumaguete in Negros Oriental, with regular fastcraft and Roro vessels plying the channel.
For her third stop, Gov. Garcia inaugurated the P6.5 million peso multi-purpose edifice that shall house important municipal offices, including the Municipal Tourism Office, Senior Citizen’s Office, and Liga ng mga Barangay or ABC Office in Barangay Poblacion.
She then proceeded to the groundbreaking of Santander’s new public market & civic center also in Barangay Poblacion.
For her fifth stop, she inaugurated the new stage and improvement of Willy B. Wenceslao Memorial National High School multi-purpose building also in Barangay Poblacion. | via BJR
