𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥, 𝗖𝗘𝗕𝗨 — A training facility in the mountain barangay of Kandamiang in this municipality has been blessed and inaugurated today, October 16.
The Municipal Training Center has been built with a project cost of P2 million sourced from the Capitol’s infrastructure aid to the municipality each time Gov. Gwen Garcia would call for important meetings that required the local officials’ presence.
Gov. Gwen joined Mayor Marites Buscato in the inauguration here that was attended by farmers and community members who will stand to benefit from the facility.
Serving the mountain barangays of Kandamiang, Cabutongan, and Liptong, the facility shall serve as venue for agricultural training seminars and in the distribution of agricultural aids from various government agencies for the enhancement of farming practices of the residents.
“Maski dinhi sa mga kabukiran, masayod mo nga ang Provincial Government naghuna-huna ninyo,” Gov. Gwen said in her speech, adding that the Capitol aid to the farmers shall not be “ayuda-based” that cultivates a mendicant mentality.
“Unsa may among mahimo pagtabang ninyo aron kamo makatabang sa inyong mga kaugalingon. Kay mao na ang Sugbuanon, adunay dignidad, makabarog sa iyang kaugalingon basta tabangan lang,” she added.
Congressman Edsel Galeos also joined the governor here, alongside Board Members Raymond Calderon and Stanley Caminero, as well as CPPO director Col. Percival Zorilla. | BJR
