Five national line agencies, including two officers who have gotten their reassignments, received strong commendations from the Provincial Development Council (PDC), chaired by Gov. Gwen Garcia, for their exemplary service to Cebu and the Cebuanos.
Among those commended were DILG 7 assistant regional director Atty. Ian Kenneth Lucero and Colonel Erwin Rommel Lamzon, commander of the Joint Task Group-Cebu of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
ARD Atty. Lucero is the immediate past provincial director of DILG Cebu Province. He was commended for his proactive “dedication and generosity in supporting the Caravan of Services” and other initiatives of the Capitol.
For his part, Col. Lamzon, was also commended for his strong leadership in his tenure in Cebu, as JTG Cebu has been deactivated and Col. Lamzon will be transferred to Capiz.
“It has been a privilege to serve, and I cannot really express how much this opportunity to serve the interest, welfare, and well-being, and contributing to the quality of life for all Sugbuanon. Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity,” Col. Lamzon said.
The other agencies commended by the PDC included:
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Cebu Province, under the leadership of PDEA Provincial Officer Milva D. Mojado, for its relentless and continuing drug clearing operations in the barangays;
The Cebu Provincial Police Office, under the direction of Col. Percival Zorilla, for handling and managing peace and order situation in the entire Cebu Province;
The Department of Education Cebu Provincial Division, headed by Superintendent Dr. Senen Priscilo Paulin, for its responsiveness and full support to all Capitol programs intended for Cebuano students.
Meanwhile, the mayors present at the PDC meeting, also commended Gov. Gwen for her decisive role as overall director of the highly successful Pasigarbo sa Sugbo 2024. LMP-Cebu president and Daanbantayan Mayor Sun Shimura, with the participation of component city mayors upon the motion by Toledo City Mayor Marjorie Perales, raised the said motion to commend the governor.
The PDC meeting on October 15 at the Capitol Social Hall was also a joint meeting for the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC). |
