The Cebu Provincial Government received 18 Filipino American businessmen at the Capitol Gallery to discuss possible areas of cooperation between the parties.
Gov. Gwen Garcia, along with Board Member Glenn Anthony Soco, welcomed the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (AmCham), led by AmCham Visayas Manager Brenda Lisen and Kristen Ang, Commissioner of the Port of Tacoma and Chair of the Northwest Seaport Alliance at the Capitol Gallery on Thursday, Oct 10.
They were here with the delegates from the Washington Philippines Trade and Cultural to seek platform for discussions on deepening trade and culture.
Representatives from the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) including former MCCI President Steven Yu and world-renowned industrial designer Kenneth Cobonpue were also in attendance.
The forum aimed to strengthen trade and cultural ties between Cebu and key regions in the United States, including Seattle, Washington, Oregon, and Alaska.
Gov. Garcia emphasized Cebu’s strategic importance as an economic hub in the Philippines and the its ongoing initiatives to support local industries and attract foreign investment.
She also cited the partnerships with international firms like Acciona Energia and Freya Renewables for solar power plants which would address vital needs as well as open opportunities for Cebuanos.

We thank you so much for your hospitality for welcoming us and for telling us in details all about Cebu Province,” Ang said in praise of Gov.
