The Cebu Provincial Government has earmarked a total of P18 million in infrastructure subsidies for six local government units (LGUs) in the Fifth District of mainland Cebu.
Gov. Gwen Garcia handed over the checks to the mayors during the Caravan of Services event held at the D.M. Reynes Gymnasium on September 27.
Compostela Mayor Felijur Quiño, Carmen Mayor Carlo Villamor, Liloan Mayor Aljew Frasco, Catmon Mayor Avis Monleon, Borbon Mayor Noel Dotillos, and Sogod Vice Mayor Richard Streegan —who accepted the on behalf of Mayor Lissa Marie Streegan—each received P3 million.
These funds are designated specifically for infrastructure initiatives in line with the Capitol's ongoing efforts to support development across the province.
On August 17, the island LGUs of the Fith District, namely San Francisco, Poro, Tudela and Pilar, received the same subsidy for their respective infrastructure projects. | via BJR
