𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐀𝐑 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘, 𝐂𝐄𝐁𝐔 — Gov. Gwen Garcia’s third and final stop in her visit in the First District today was the inauguration of two newly completed reinforced concrete box culverts in Sitio Tapal, Barangay Guadalupe.
She was joined by Carcar City Mayor Patrick Barcenas, municipal councilors, and Guadalupe Brgy. Capt. Rey Anthony Lawas.
The projects, which include a single-barrel and a three-barrel box culverts, were completed after several months of construction and are now ready for public use. The Cebu Provincial Government allocated a total sum of P17.744 million for these important public infrastructure.
The single-barrel box culvert, measuring 4.26 meters in length and 7.32 meters in width, was built at a cost of P8.129 million. Meanwhile, the three-barrel box culvert, measuring 12.10 meters long and 7.32 meters wide, was constructed at the cost of P9.615 million.
These projects are designed to allow the uninterrupted flow of the river beneath the road, ensuring a stable and sturdy road that traverses above a waterway; as well as the safety of the residents who would cross the river, especially on rainy days.
