Drawing inspiration from the success of the Fuente rotunda in Cebu City, Gov. Garcia, in collaboration with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), aims to replicate its efficiency and functionality.
During the meeting on Wednesday, April 17, a blueprint was presented which identified the required circumference for the roundabout to mirror the operations of the Fuente rotunda, whose lot is owned by Capitol.
The envisioned expansion signals a commitment to make this traffic solution work despite the initial setback experienced when the simulation was done over the weekend.
As discussions continue, stakeholders aim to finish the needed expansion towards the realization of this vital traffic solution at the UN Avenue–DM Cortes Street intersection.
Present at the meeting were key officials DPWH, affected lot owners, and representatives from telecommunications and utility companies. | CL
