The expansion building of the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Bogo City (CPH Bogo) will be completed this year, with an inauguration scheduled on September 23 — the second death anniversary of fourth district Board Member Raci Franco.
This was revealed by Senator Risa Hontiveros to Gov. Gwen Garcia during the senator’s visit at the Capitol on Thursday, March 21. She was accompanied by BM Franco’s widow, Carmela, who was appointed by the President to take over the vacated position at the Cebu Provincial Board.

Gov. Gwen expressed her desire for the new building to be named after the late Board Member Raci.
Sen. Hontiveros commended the collaborative efforts between the national and provincial governments in pushing through with the vital project.
Funding for the first phase exceeded P200 million, Sen. Hontiveros told 𝐒𝐮𝐠𝐛𝐨𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬. She said an additional P100 million was also released to further bolster the hospital project, emphasizing the senators' commitment to enhancing healthcare services in Cebu.

Meanwhile, the senator also lauded the Capitol’s initiative to establish dialysis centers in Capitol-run hospitals, a reflection of the Capitol’s commitment to addressing the increasing demand for specialized medical services, particularly in renal care.
