The Capitol has shelled out a total of P56.4 million in financial assistance for six local government units of Cebu’s fourth district during the Caravan of Services in Bogo City Wednesday, March 20.
Daanbantayan received the highest allocation at P10.5 million. Tabogon got P10.3 million; San Remigio had P10.1 million; Medellin was allocated P10 million; Tabuelan secured P8.5 million; and Bogo City received P7 million.
The financial assistance is seen to help boost each of the LGU’s infrastructure projects from the barangay up to the city or municipal level.
It also serves as an incentive to the mayors, vice mayors, councilors, and barangay captains who attended important Capitol meetings and events at the Capitol last year.
Governor Gwen Garcia, with Board Members Kerrie Shimura and Stanley Caminero, personally handed the checks over to mayors, vice mayors, councilors, and barangay captains. | Mary Ann Malaya
