SAMBOAN, CEBU -- Gov. Gwen Garcia, together with Vice Gov. Hilario Davide III, joined Mayor Emerito Calderon Jr. in the blessing, ribbon-cutting, and unveiling of the town’s Tourism Information and Trade Office (TITO) on Tuesday, March 12.
The 135-square-meter facility located in Brgy. Poblacion costs P7 million which the local government unit sourced from its savings of financial assistances extended by the Capitol on many occasions in the past.
Also in attendance were second district Board Members Dr. Stanley Caminero and Raymond Calderon.
TITO provides a cozy lounge area, a gift and souvenir corner, a charging station, and an information desk catering to tourists’ queries regarding places to go in Samboan and other destinations in Cebu, as well as clean comfort rooms.
Samboan offers a diverse range of attractions, combining natural beauty such as Dao Falls and Duyan-Duyan Cave; cultural heritage like the century-old Campanario de Antiguo; and recreational activities, among others.
Whether visitors seek adventure, relaxation, or cultural exploration, Samboan has something to offer for every type of traveler.
TITO will play a crucial role in promoting the Samboan’s tourism package, boost the economy as well as drive trade activities and investments. | Babie Jane Revecoy
