Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia thankfully uttered these words as she expressed her gratitude to all stakeholders who are pouring their all-out support in the upcoming Sinulog sa Lalawigan during another stakeholders’ coordination meeting on Wednesday afternoon, January 10.
According to Governor Garcia, she felt overwhelmed with the help the stakeholders are extending to make Sinulog sa Lalawigan a success.
“I thanked the telcos for being so cooperative,” exclaimed Governor Gwen as she spoke to telco representatives present during the coordination meeting.
Despite the brand competition, telecommunications companies are one and united in helping the Sinulog sa Lalawigan.
DITO Telecommunity Corporation pledges to extend 50 tents, 3 LED walls, 3 Cell on Wheels (COW) or a mobile cell site, 3 units of Iphone 13, and P100,000 cash.
Globe will also provide 30 tents, 1 LED wall, 3 internet connections, 1 Cell on Wheels, and an Iphone 13 as prize for the Sinulog sa Lalawigan Festival Queen.
SMART/PLDT will also help in giving 5 internet connections, 30 tents, bantings, banners and 1 Cell on Wheels to provide internet connection inside the Cebu City Sports Center.
Converge ICT Solutions, for its part, will extend 1 LED wall.
Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, PEPSI and San Miguel Foods, will also extend help for the Sinulog sa Lalawigan.
Coca-Cola pledges to give 6,000 bottles for water for the contingents and security personnel, tents, tables and chairs for the food avenue that will be placed inside the venue, and set of coolers for the drinks.
PEPSI will extend 5,400 bottles of Gatorade for the contingents, tables and chairs for the diners and set of tents.
San Miguel will also provide tables and chairs and will give 2,000 kilos of a whole chicken for the 18 participating contingents for the Sinulog sa Lalawigan.
During the coordination meeting, the Hotel, Resort and Restaurant Association of Cebu Inc. also announced that they will give a very special rate on January 12, 13 and 14, the days leading up to the Sinulog sa Lalawigan.
Governor Gwen is also very thankful of the help that Engr. Ricky Dakay will extend by providing additional bleachers that will be placed inside the CCSC.
Lapu-Lapu City Government, headed by Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan, also promised to lend their bleachers for the Cebuanos who will be watching the Sinulog sa Lalawigan inside the sports center.
