Gov. Gwen Garcia led a delegation of Cebu officials in Gangwon State, South Korea last September 21 to 24 for the East-Asia Economic Tourism Forum (EATOF).
The governor was the only non-Korean speaker of the EATOF which is composed of ten states and provinces, namely: Cebu; Gangwon, S. Korea; Jilin, China; Sarawak, Malaysia; Yogyakarta, Indonesia; Tottori, Japan; Luang Prabang, Laos; Tuv, Mongolia; Siem Reap, Cambodia; and Quang Ninh, Vietnam.
The Governor had ample chance to talk business and collaboration with the governors of these states and provinces. With Gangwon, which is Cebu’s Sister Province, she pushed for a direct flight to and from Cebu to facilitate mobility of goods and personnel.
Accompanying the governor were Board Members Glenn Anthony Soco, Andrei Duterte, Victoria Corominas, and Raymond Calderon; as well as Toledo City Mayor Joie Perales.
