Beginning next week, renovation works on toilet facilities of Capitol-run bus terminals will commence.
This was what Sarah Pante, country manager of Mister Loo Philippines, told Gov. Gwen Garcia during their meeting at the Capitol on Tuesday, December 12.
The new toilets will be tech-enabled and digitalized, able to give users private data concerning their health condition through an analysis of bodily waste.
Twenty-eight toilet cubicles will be tested for pilot run: 20 will be placed at the Cebu South Bus Terminal and 8 at the North Bus Terminal.
While renovation is ongoing, portalets will be temporarily installed in order not to inconvenience the travelers.
Pante said the renovation of these toilet facilities will be done in four phases in order to least disrupt the operations of the bus terminals.
Governor Gwen told Mister Loo to expedite the renovation in order that the facilities may be operational by January next year for the Sinulog festivities.
“We’re trying our best to really ensure that by Sinulog, we already have the facility for north and south,” Pante said. | Babie Jane Revecoy
