The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Cebu Province has recognized the Cebu Provincial Government for its continued collaborative initiatives with the agency this year.
Third district Board Member Tata Corominas-Toribio received the award from DILG 7 director Leocadio Trovela and DILG Sugbo director Atty. Ian Kenneth Lucero earlier today, December 8, at the Cebu Quincentennial Hotel in Mabolo, Cebu City.
“On behalf of our governor, Governor Gwen Garcia, and our Vice Governor, salamat kaayo niining pasidungog. Magtinabangay ta aron mas mapahapsay ug mas maabot gyud sa mga hingtungdan nga beneficiaries ang serbisyo nga alang kanila,” Toribio said.
Aside from Cebu Province, DILG Sugbo also honored 31 of its partner agencies and organizations from all over the province in the performance of its statutory mandate.
The list also included the Cebu Provincial Information Office and Sugbo News.
“We are indeed very proud of this initiative, and we continue to foster collaboration among the government and private sectors,” RD Trovela said in his speech.
For his part, PD Lucero thanked all their partner agencies for a productive year that is 2023.
“Today, we pay tribute again to the continued collaboration, to the continued cooperation, and to the continued coordination between the DILG and our partner agencies and organizations. Ang atong combined effort, atong combined energy, and ang atong combined time are indeed a force to be reckoned with,” Lucero said. | Babie Jane Revecoy
