The three-day Suroy Suroy Sugbo-Southern Heritage Trail capped off at the spectacular Liberation Park in Talisay City Saturday night.
The famous Lechon sa Talisay was the center of attraction during last night's banquet, along with other local delicacies.
The venue, which the city prides itself on as the historic site where the actual Talisay Landing happened, was the perfect place for Gov. Gwen Garcia to announce the good news that each of the 22 participating LGUs will get P1 million as a subsidy from the Cebu Provincial Government.
"Our 22 local government units on the Suroy-Suroy Southern Heritage Trail proved that this time the bar has been raised even higher," Gov. Garcia said in her speech.
"This Suroy-Suroy Sugbo has evolved through the years," she added.
The last three days of Suroy-Suroy adventure left the over 400 participants astounded as they were able to indulge in Cebu's rich culture, arts, and heritage, as well as natural wonders. | Babie Jane Revecoy
