Governor Gwen Garcia assured the 11-member South Korean delegation that the upcoming Suroy-Suroy Sugbo Southern Heritage Trail will not only be a feast for the senses and the soul but also a mixture of pleasure and business.
“For the next two days, it will be fun, but we will be mixing business with pleasure,” Gov. Garcia said during the delegation’s courtesy visit at the Capitol today, November 29.
The South Koreans from Gangwon State, led by Vice Gov. Jeong Kwang Yeol, is here in Cebu for the tourism caravan led by Gov. Garcia slated on November 30 until December 2.
The delegation, composed of government officials and businessmen, will be the VIP guests of the three-day tourism caravan.
“What is good about it when I say mixing pleasure with business is that our hope is that in going around our local government units, you will see the potential of further developing our relationship through economic and tourism efforts,” the governor said.
Vice Governor Yeol expressed his excitement for the event and committed to building a stronger relationship between the two provinces.
Provincial Board Members Red Duterte, Tata Corominas-Toribio, Raymond Calderon, Jerome Librando, and Stanley Caminero joined the governor in the courtesy call.
