The eight LGUs of the seventh district of Cebu received financial assistance from the Capitol worth P61 Million during the Caravan of Services in Alcantara town yesterday, Nov. 9.
Governor Gwen Garcia led the check distribution to the municipal mayors of the distric, namely: Alcantara Mayor Fritz Lastimoso, Badian Mayor Carmencita Lumain, Dumanjug Mayor Gungun Gica, Alegria Mayor Gilberto Magallon, Ronda Mayor Terrence Mariano Blanco, Moalboal Mayor Inocentes Cabaron, Malabuyoc Mayor Erlinda Piedad, and Ginatilan Mayor Roy Vincent Singco.
Dumanjug, Ronda, Moalboal, Alegria, and Malabuyoc received P8 Million each; while Badian, Ginatilan, and Alcantara received P7 Million pesos each.
The assistance is intended to support the infrastructure projects of the LGUs. This subsidy also serves as an incentive for the mayors’ active participation in important deliberations and events at the Capitol, such as the PDC Full Council Meeting, the Opening Salvo of the Founding Anniversary of the Cebu Province, and the Barangay Assembly, among others.
