Capitol-run hospitals all over Cebu Province have certainly levelled up in their services to the Cebuanos, according to the results of the assessment conducted by Dr. Mary Jean Loreche and her team from September 25 to 29.
Gov. Gwen Garcia, during a meeting at the Capitol on Monday, October 9, learned that at least eight hospitals received a perfect score of 5.0 from the evaluation and monitoring team in the areas of management and leadership, client satisfaction, processes and systems, infrastructure, and economic enterprise.
These are the Provincial Hospitals in the cities of Danao and Bogo, as well as in Balamban; and the District Hospitals in Oslob, Minglanilla, Bantayan, Daanbantayan, and Camotes.
The rest of the hospitals also did a good job, with the lowest score given by Dr. Loreche and her team is at 4.7.
“I would say that all our chiefs of hospitals really, really caught up with and levelled up as per our inspiring and motivating them as to the directives of the governor,” Dr. Loreche told Sugbo News.
The evaluation team also recommended to the Governor the filing of an application for Level II accreditation status at the Department of Health for the Provincial Hospitals of Bogo and Balamban as, to their assessment, these hospitals could very well qualify for such DOH standards. | Mary Ann Malaya
