Gov. Gwen Garcia has directed the Cebu Electric Cooperative II (CEBECO II) to address the urgent concern of power interruptions currently being experienced in one of their service area which is the Municipality of Tabogon.
The governor gave this order to CEBECO II general manager Engr. Lowell Belciña during a meeting which was also attended by Tabogon Mayor Francis Salimbangon at the Capitol on Tuesday, October 3.
GM Belciña said Tabogon has been experiencing power interruptions lately due to the preventive maintenance done by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines.
Gov. Gwen, unsatisfied with the reason for the power outages, also asked CEBECO II for a detailed report on the list of scheduled and unscheduled power interruption and the possible outlook on when can the issue be addressed at the soonest possible time.
CEBECO II serves two cities and 11 municipalities within its coverage area namely: the cities of Danao and Bogo; as well as the Municipalities of Medellin, Daanbantayan, San Remigio, Tabogon, Borbon, Sogod, Tabuelan, Tuburan, Catmon, Carmen, and Compostela. | Carlo Lorenciana
