BALAMBAN — Two newly finished road projects here funded by the Provincial Government amounting almost P130 million was inaugurated by Gov. Gwen Garcia on Monday, Oct. 2.
The newly concreted Poblacion-Lamesa Road Section (Phase III), a project worth P80.93 million spanning 4.45 kilometers, gives local residents and motorists here better mobility in and out of Brgy. Lamesa.
Brgy. Lamesa is located in the hilly parts of Balamban, a few kilometers away from the town’s main highway.
With the improved road that boasts of cement thickness of 9 inches and width of 6.1 meters, residents now have better accessibility to the city center.
The road project was finished within 264 days by Quirante Construction.
She also inaugurated the P48.94 million road section which connects Barangay Liki and Barangay Cabagdalan. The concreted road has a length of 3.5 kilometers with similar width and thickness that is Capitol's road standard.
Aside from the concreted road, the officials also inaugurated 28 reinforced concrete lamppost pedestals in the area.
Gov. Gwen was joined by Board Member John Ismael Borgonia, Vice Mayor Alfie Binghay, and the rest of the municipal council.
