A Thailand-based company whose into tech-enabled public toilet sanitation is offering to collaborate with the Provincial Government of Cebu in building toilets in tourist hubs in Cebu.
Sarah Pante, country manager of Mister Loo Philippines, met with Gov. Gwen Garcia on Wednesday, September 27, to initially discuss their company’s plan of collaborating with the Province.
Mister Loo is a Thailand-based tech-enabled public toilet sanitation provider in Emerging Asia. The startup was founded by two Swiss entrepreneurs whose goal is to target the basic unmet needs in the region for better public sanitary infrastructure.
During the meeting, Gov. Garcia opened up the possibility of working with Mister Loo in operating the toilets of future Tourist Rest Areas in Cebu as well as the Capitol-run north and south bus terminals.
The governor also wants to set up this modern toilet facility in tourist hubs like Oslob, famous among whale shark watchers, where she recently suggested the construction of a better orientation holding area for tourists.
Mister Loo is expected to formally send their proposal to Capitol regarding the plan, provincial tourism chief Marti Ybañez, who was at the meeting, told Sugbo News.
Mister Loo was founded as a health and wellbeing solution to the lack of accessible and clean toilet facilities in areas with high foot traffic.
It designs, constructs, and manages public toilet facilities through its tech-enabled service platform at high footfall locations across Asia. | Carlo Lorenciana
