The Provinces of Cebu and Fujian inked a cooperation agreement in the field of tourism during a ceremony at the Cebu Provincial Capitol on Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Cebu Provincial Tourism Officer Maria Lester Ybañez and Lin Xiangdong, Director General of the Fuijan Provincial Department of Cultural and Tourism, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective provinces.

The tourism cooperation will facilitate both counterpart exchanges and cross-promoting tourist destinations. The parties also agreed to establish friendly consultation mechanisms, strengthen support for promotional events, and bolster mutual brand promotion.

The agreement was witnessed by Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia and Fuijan Governor Zhao Long at the Capitol Social Hall in the presence of Cebuano and Fujian dignitaries and officials. | BJR
