In order to address traffic congestion in Minglanilla, Gov. Gwen Garcia proposed that a “right turn only” policy should be implemented along the national highway in the area.
In a meeting with Mayor Mayor Rajiv Enad of Minglanilla, and his traffic management chief Glenn Antigua on Wednesday, August 23, Gov. Garcia said this “right turn only” policy should be implemented in busy, critical intersections to allow free flowing traffic along the main thoroughfare.
She said this policy, once implemented, will positively impact the traffic situation in Minglanilla.
To recall, the governor in a separate meeting with Carcar officials and the Department of Public Works and Highways, she also suggested the “right turn only” policy to address the persistent traffic problem in Carcar City.
Since its implementation, traffic flow in the city has greatly improved.
Gov. Garcia even showed to the Minglanilla officials a video showing how this traffic policy impacted the vehicle flow along Carcar’s highway.
Antigua, who heads the Minglanilla Traffic Command Center, told Sugbo News they will implement the suggestion of the governor to address the problem. | Carlo Lorenciana
