PILAR, CAMOTES GROUP OF ISLANDS – The municipality of Pilar through Mayor Manuel Santiago received a P2.5 million cheque from the Provincial Government as financial support to the municipality’s preparation for the Pasigarbo sa Sugbo.
Gov. Gwen Garcia personally handed over the cheque to Mayor Santiago during the Caravan of Services on Friday, August 18.
Pilar, a remote island off the eastern coast of Camotes mainland, got a higher financial aid along with other island municipalities in the province.
Pilar is set to stage its Pamugsay Festival in the upcoming Pasigarbo event happening in Carcar City on Aug. 27.
Tomorrow, Aug. 19, Gov. Gwen will lead another leg of the caravan in the municipality of San Francisco in Camotes. | Carlo Lorenciana
