Twenty-eight Sugbo Negosyo beneficiaries will be joining the One Cebu Expo slated on August 8 to 12 at the SM Seaside Cebu to showcase their wares.
The 28 exhibitors have topped the screening and assessment process conducted by the program’s technical working group. They are handpicked from the thousands of program beneficiaries under the offices of Vice Gov. Hilario Davide III and the 17 members of the Provincial Board.
Another seven Sugbo Negosyo beneficiaries will also be featured at the One Cebu Expo on account of the quality of their products despite not meeting the program qualifications set by the Capitol.
Of the 28 shortlisted beneficiaries, 10 will move on to the next round after an assessment process to be conducted by mystery shoppers during the expo. The 10 entrepreneurs will then undergo an intensive mentoring program with the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry before the top 3 is selected as winners of the program.
The Capitol has allocated P100 million for Sugbo Negosyo which is now on its second round. It counts as beneficiaries 10,000 micro and small entrepreneurs in the province.
