The Economic Enterprise Council of the Cebu Provincial Government has given a nod to the proposal of Topline Group of Companies to upgrade the Cebu North Bus Terminal (CNBT).
The ECC gave its approval during a meeting on Friday, June 2, where the company's president and chief executive officer Erik Lim presented to Gov. Gwen Garcia and the council the company's plan for CNBT.
In his presentation, Lim said they plan to put up a canopy and chairs at the terminal which is currently located at the open parking space at SM City Cebu.
Lim said they can finish this work in just 60 days.
Moreover, Topline also eyes to implement its automated ticketing system called the Suroy-Suroy Sugbo Card at the NSBT.
The company has already implemented this system at Cebu South Bus Terminal.
The Provincial Government, Topline, and the management of SM City Cebu are expected to enter into a memorandum of agreement to realize this project. | Carlo Lorenciana
