Gov. Gwen Garcia led the simultaneous launching Sugbo School Feeding Program yat the Tabogon Central School last November 15.
It aims to feed all students of DepEd in Cebu Province, from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
The Capitol allocated P197 Million as initial budget for the program, which is participated by 1,494 public schools, including the schools in independent city divisions of Mandaue, Talisay, Naga, Carcar, Toledo, Danao, and Bogo.
According to the records of DepEd Cebu Province, there are 878,619 students enrolled for this school year, from Kindergarten to senior high school.
The feeding program will be conducted on school days, Mondays through Fridays, and will last until the school year ends in June.
It is manned by the dedicated members and officials of the Parent-Teacher Association in each school.
